Welcome to the introduction of Guitar. Many people have there own musical personality. Those who learn to play guitar either want to be a lead guitarist, a rhythm guitarist or both. However, an Allmusician would choose to be both! In this section we learn how to read Tablature and how to just improvise off popular and simple chord progressions and melodies to be more creative.
There are several chords we can play but we have to understand some theory first. If your new at this then I would recommend checking out the Music Theory section to learn more about the dimensions of all music.
Whether your a beginner or not, it's always good to review your basics to retain your musical quest as an allmusician. Especially when you learn more than one instrument. Just like changing the strings on a guitar, you don't put on new strings and then never change them again because if you do that, pretty soon your guitar won't sound so good, even in tune. Same with a piano, if you don't have it properly tunned for a long time it doesn't matter how good you are, it won't sound great out-of-tune, right? So my point is, if you become very great at what you do and don't continue to atleast warmup with your basics then pretty soon you will find it difficult to play simple rhythms such as quarter notes and eighth note patterns. I've seen it before so take my word on it; if you eat pizza for the rest of your because its better than vegetables and meats your not going to be very healthy, so the point is to be a healthy musician while you enhance your growth and abilities. That is the key to success as an allmusician! Keep that in mind through out each lesson for whatever instrument!
